I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a research assistant at the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI). My research and teaching interests focus on industrial organization and the regulation of industry, and in particular on the unintended consequences of policy measures. In my dissertation, I closely examine regulatory efforts regarding different aspects of food safety in the U.S. poultry industry. My other work addresses similar themes, including a significant line of research on the intersection of decarbonization policy, local air quality, and environmental justice.
